I'm Richard Stone, an award-winning automotive photographer based in Derbyshire, creating bespoke fine art imagery for collectors, enthusiasts and discerning owners. Working from the exceptional facilities at Great Northern Classics in Derby, I specialise in producing museum-quality photographs that celebrate not just the beauty of a vehicle, but the craftsmanship, engineering and emotion behind it.
My fascination with automotive photography began long before I ever picked up a professional camera. As a child, I discovered a hardback copy of Classic Dream Cars by Yves Le Ray, which introduced me to the breathtaking designs of Pininfarina, Bertone and William Towns. Those iconic shapes and timeless proportions sparked a lifelong appreciation for automotive design that continues to inspire my work today.

With more than a decade of photographic experience and a professional background that demanded absolute precision and attention to detail, I've developed a style that blends technical excellence with artistic vision. Every commission is carefully planned and individually crafted to create images that deserve to be displayed as fine art.
I'm honoured to have been recognised among the Auto Photo Awards Top 100 Automotive Photographers every year since the awards were established - an achievement that reflects my commitment to continually producing work at the highest standard.
Alongside private commissions, I am proud to be the official photographer for Automotive Utopia, one of the UK's most exclusive collectors' car communities. My photography is regularly featured throughout the clubs prestigious bi-annual coffee table publication, showcasing some of the world's most desirable and historically significant automobiles.
